Day 1
Nanaimo to Louis Bay
Travel to Gold River and fly by floatplane to the northern Nootka Island trailhead; make first camp.
Day 2
Skuna Creek and shoreline
Walk beaches and rocky shelves toward the Crawfish Falls area, depending on tides.
Day 3
Bajo Point and Beano Creek
Continue around Bajo Point with views across the sound toward Hesquiat Peninsula.
Day 4
Maquina Point
Navigate coves, forest detours and challenging shore sections on the way south.
Day 5
Yuquot / Friendly Cove
Finish the traverse near historic Yuquot and explore the local area respectfully.
Day 6
Return by floatplane
Fly to Gold River and return by road to Nanaimo.
