Explore Vancouver Island

Hiking the wild southwest coast

Choose the West Coast Trail, the Juan de Fuca Trail, or a shorter coastal experience. Compare trip styles and find the adventure that fits your time, interests and appetite for backpacking.

West Coast South

Two legendary coastlines. More than one way to explore.

Southern Vancouver Island is known for rugged Pacific shorelines, forest trails, beaches and changing coastal conditions. Here you can undertake a full multi-day backpacking journey or choose a shorter introduction to life on the trail.

West Coast Trail experiences are centred on an iconic remote coastal route. Juan de Fuca experiences offer a different stretch of southwest coast, with options ranging from a full trail journey to shorter explorations and a base-camp format.

All six experiences below are offered by Coastal Bliss Adventures. Use the comparison to narrow your choice, then visit each trip page for current itineraries, dates, inclusions and booking details.

What to consider before choosing

Before booking, think about how many days you want to spend outdoors, whether you prefer backpacking or a base-camp format, and your comfort with uneven terrain, changing weather and carrying your own equipment.

Our guides help with preparation, route logistics and decision-making along the way. Read the individual trip descriptions carefully for what is included, the physical demands and the specific preparation required.
